Ed Masley|The Republic | azcentral.com

The Elton John farewell tour swings through Arizona in a month that ends with Old Dominion and Jake Owen kicking off the Coors Light Birds Nest concert series at the Phoenix Open.

Here's a look at those and other highlights of the month in Valley concerts, from Blackberry Smoke to Rich the Kid and Dawes.

1/26: Elton John

Farewell Yellow Brick Road is a fairly ridiculous name for Elton John's farewell tour– as though using the actual album title he's referencing wouldn't have conveyed the same sense of finality. The man's 71. And it's a three-year tour. Having said that, this should be a great show by a legendary artist. John says, “It’s time to come off the road so I can fully embrace the next important chapter of my life.”
