Food plays an important role in Valheim as it is the only way to increase your health, stamina, and Eitr temporarily. This section of IGN's walkthrough will teach you everything you need to know about food, including crafting recipes, stats, and more.
Valheim Food
You may consume up to three different food items at once. Depending on the combination, you'll have different health, stamina, and healing rates. Once you've reached the Mistlands biome, you can also use Eitr food, also known as magic food, to wield magic weapons. Some foods can be found naturally in the wild, while others require crafting and access to an open fire or cauldron. Find the best combination based on the resources you have to match your desired playstyle.

Balanced Food
Balanced food doesn't have a dominant stat. It offers the same amount of health and stamina, and in the case of Magecaps, also Eitr.
